The office does sell ice, basic drinks and snacks.

If you plan on making it please post with the following info. About a week before I will collect and combine everyone's responses into one post for everyone's reference. Feel free to DM me with any questions.

Provide the following:
-Day of arrival
-Wheeling days (the official day will be Saturday, but feel free to show early or stay longer to wheel more, Hot Springs is actually open 7 days a week now.)
-Where staying
-Comfort Level (trail ratings are 1-5) Here is link to Hot Springs trails and their ratings Trail Ratings
-Open to Leading a group
-Any other info you feel is pertinent or special needs

My info:
Day of arrival - Friday evening

Wheeling days - All day Saturday, Oct 23. Can also wheel on Sunday, Oct 24 or if anyone is a mt biker and wants to see the local Mt bike trails I can lead a mt bike ride at Northwoods Trails on Sunday.

Staying in town

Comfort Level - 4 and 5's

Open to Leading Group - Yes

I plan on leading a group on Level 4 and 5 trails. You will want 35's or larger and lockers in my group. I am willing to work in the BOH trails (I think they are Snake and Rubicon Ridge) just let me know.
Trails that my group will most likely hit: Fun Run, Ultimate Adventure, Four Fingers, Shafner's Hollow, Headbanger, Can Opener, Slammer, Ravine, Gorge, Humdinger, Ingrid's Revenge, Gregg's Rock AND if wanted the BOH Snake and Rubicon Ridge. My group will eat lunch at the park (either on the trail or back in the parking lot) so ensure you bring lunch and snacks with you to the park that morning.

I am going wheeling this weekend and all the above is dependent on my Jeep still being functional :)

Still working to see if I can make the dates work.

There are three badge trails: Rubicon Ridge - lots of down hill ledges. Medium difficulty. Fun Run - easy. Snake- easy.

Plan on winching some if you want to run level 5’s on 35’s. I like to connect my controller and pass the cord through the hood latch. Have your shackles and tree saver ready.

Just got back from a trip to Hot Springs a couple weeks ago. Broke a rear shaft on the first hill and had to three wheel all weekend. If I come I’ll bring tools, and a 110v welder.

Crap, I can’t make this date. I would love to have more mid south/Gulfcoast rides. Definitely will try to get to one if y’all keep doing them

I will be arriving Friday afternoon

Wheeling all day Saturday

Staying in town

Comfort level - up to 4. Will do 5's if everyone else is.

Never been to Hot Springs so I am not familiar with the trails. I would be willing to lead a group if there is nobody else that wants to.

I want to hit all the BOH trails for sure.

Day of arrival - around noon on Thrs.

Wheeling days - Thrs, Fri, Sat,

Staying at one of the cabins in the park.

Comfort level - I think I’d be comfortable with anything up to 4. I haven’t been on any 4’s in my Jeep yet but based on some of the videos @gasiorv has posted I think I can handle it. I’m locked front and rear.

I’ve never been to Hot Springs so I may not be a good leader but I’m willing to if needed.

My uncle-in-law is going to join us with his jk. He has never been to Hot Springs either but wheels quite often. Not sure which trails he will be interested in. His Jeep is much more capable than mine so he may want to wheel on the 5’s with the more serious rigs. I’m just looking for a good time away from work for a few days so I’m not partial to an particular trails. I’ll be just as happy on a 2 as I will be on a 4.

I‘ll be driving my jeep there so I‘ll have to be mindful of that. I’d like to be able to drive it home. . .;)

I have GMRS, but rarely ever use it. If you want a radio, I recommend getting gmrs, but don't feel that you need to go buy it. We will just stick together and watch out for each other.

I forgot to mention. I have a spare handheld that someone can borrow if they want a radio for the day. When I bought mine a few years ago, I figured there was no sense in just having one so I bought 2 to give to whoever is with me. But as I have said on numerous different posts, my handheld typically ends up on the floor or under the seat somewhere and I usually have some tunes going on the radio and can't hear it anyway so I am not a big radio advocate or "must have".

I have plans for the next two weekends, so I won't be able to make it. Cottonland Cruisers will be there that weekend and they usually have a large group of FJs (new and old) out on the trails. Possibly look them up on FB or just show up that morning and join in with a group. Just like Jeeps, there is a wide range of FJs (stock to fully built crawlers) and they are a good bunch.

If you are in Wake Forest, that would be a 14 hour drive one way. He would be eligible for Dad of the year.
Fingers crossed, if I did go I would only be able to do 2 or maybe 3 rated trails as it would be my second time off-roading, will there be many people running those trails?
