What did you do to your TJ today?

Ordered the Bedrug today and coughed up NZD dollars $1,274.00 ( That's $800.00 USD !!! ) for it including delivery.... this stuff better be worth it haha

I mean it’s almost $500 for front and back in the states. So in the grand scheme of things that’s not the worst for it to travel all the way across the world and pay off a few gatekeepers in the process.

Top is on and drying. Clamps and nailer definately help out. Camp tote fits pretty snug on the right side. Camp stove and air compressor fit on left side with some room to spare. Will sand it all smooth, weather seal it, wrap Top, sides, and top of bottom boxes in black carpet. Will leave some exposed wood as I think it will look good. Getting there. The heat is tough today in the garage.

Calling it quits for the day. 100+ degree garage wears you out after a while. Just finishing to do now. Subwoofer hole cut, fits nice and snug. Will mount it with t-nuts.

Instead of what I did it's what I didn’t get to do with my jeep today. I didn't get to drive it this afternoon because we ended up within a crime scene. A couple of punk ass bitches were involved in two drive by shootings in the area and in the police response somehow these punks ended up chasing one of the police cars right past my house shooting at him. They got to the next intersection north of my place (1/2 block) and the officer tried to flip a bitch and ended up shot twice. Fuckers fled but ended up in custody shortly later. The officer is critical but stable. Should survive. I was able to provide security footage of the chase past my house and the police car coming to a stop but the actual shooting is out of view. Needless to say, I'm still processing.

did some more rust cleanup and painting last night. fasteners are soaking in evaporust and are cleaning up good, front bumper is full of rock chips I need to sand and spot prime. bumpers and fasteners are next in line for painting.
cleaned up my exhaust tip and hit with some VHT engine paint too, baked in the oven at 200 for 20 minutes with no odors. gotta scuff and touch up a spot I missed but everything cleaning up well.

It should have been, unless it was replaced and upgraded.

Possibly yeah... problem is I dont have another persons top I can see with my own eyes and compare to mine..... mine seems to me pretty rough. Here is a pic not sure how clear it is to see the material or if someone can tell me if it’s black diamond or black denim that I have

Mine was black denim and I replaced it with black diamond. Can't lie.. I don't see a difference in the texture. Diamond is a deep rich black and denim looks like it's faded (of course, mine might have been). IMHO, diamond is nicer.

Im just trying to match my existing top :( so it doesnt stand out like dogs balls

Are the uppers lighter or darker than your top? If they're too light, you have a black diamond top. OEM Denim top on my old stock Jeep and black diamond with tinted uppers (bottom pic).

The hooks come with 1/2-13-2in bolts (Grade 5) which probably would have been sufficient, but I used some 1/2-13-2 1/2in Grade 8 bolts I had.

I tried installing a hook that way and can’t get to the bolt at the bottom, the one closest to the Rear end. Did you have to to get a special wrench or something? My bolts are the same size.

Just finished installing the Rugged Ridge 11703.51 Sport Rack and here are my 2 cents about the product....

Overall very happy with the sport rack. picked this one over the others for the balance of thinner tubes but still running the full length of the bed. The section bars are removable and optional which is a plus. The install time is a little hampered by the amount of unwrapping you have to do. The ironic part is the rail that mounts to the cab side of the bed was bent out of whack... so I don't want to say they need to pack it more.. but maybe go back and bulk up some spots. Nothing a mallet couldnt get back into place. If your a soft top guy and your looking at throwing lights up the top sits about 3 inches higher then the rail so your going to need something higher profile lights then your standard cube pods. Also expect to keep everything loose until the very end to line everything up properly

Pure RR quality at it's finest. I'd send it back "on the dime of the company you bought it from" and get a replacement that isn't bent. I use Paypal for all of my online purchases. If it arrives screwed up, I get a refund or replacement and keep the original part. Otherwise, the company pays return shipping too.

Had the transmission 95% re-assembled and dropped the clip for the lockup solenoid plug. Had to disassemble all the internals again to get to it.

Silver lining: I can tear down an automatic transmission in under 15 minutes, and re-assemble in under an hour.

Have you got a TJ or a JT? The link shows a part for a Gladiator.

Regular box-end wrench will get the job done, nothing special required. Try turning the bolt head until the box-end engages the nut on the inside of the frame. Keep at it, you'll get it.
