No aluminum Savvy bumpers in near future

The Warn stubby is 39lbs.

That's relatively heavy for a stubby. Mine is still lighter after extending the winch deck to grab the factory sway bar bolt holes and adding structural support to the underside to prevent collapsing.

Al is certainly preferable in as many places as you can and it will work. Savvy seizes the day when trying to save weight by using an Al backer for their slider. Not everyone makes Al bends within the constraints of 6061-T6 as has been mentioned in the Genright thread, and they just lie.

Here's the savvy front bumper, no hardware:

I bought mine with an aluminum bumper already installed and I think it is made by UCF. They claim to use 6061-T6.

The tightest bend radius for 6061-t6 is 2x the material thickness, perpendicular to the grain to avoid cracking. Anything tighter than that isn't 6061-t6. And none of that addresses the other design details that very very few other bumpers have compared to Savvy.

Confused about the bend radius comment. This is off their website claiming 6061-T6. You calling bullshit? Real question. I know the winch tray doesn't slide back as far. Are there other quality issues? I looked in other threads and it's always been blanket "Savvy is better" but haven't heard specifics
