Where's all the snow?
Going to be a 17 deg day on Christmas here...
Today changed transfer case fluid, transmission and engine oil.
Lubed up the front end.
Rotated the tires.
Picked up my door cards from the local body shop. I had tried everything remedy I could find to cure the faded tops of the door panels and nothing worked. Took them to my local shop and had them dyed. I am amazed at how they came out. Dead perfect match and a flawless finish... well worth the $100 I paid. Thought about painting them myself, but I suck at painting and it would have pissed me off to no end to look at a crappy finish every day, just to save a few dollars.

Right? They did a killer job with them. Should have taken the steering column trim off and had them dye that too. It's a bit faded and now is the sore spot in the interior.Wow. That looks sooo good.

So did you try to get your tj over that snow pile in the background at work?
That's what I thought when the shop said dye it, not paint. I've hit a few times with my shoe getting in and out. No problems. Damp cloth to wipe it is all that's needed. The first thing that occurred to me was I bet that is the most durable method too- I am really impressed.

And this shop replaced my front passenger fender and color matched the 22 year old black paint perfectly. Gives me new hope for finding half doors. Not having to worry about the door card color is a big plus.
Happy Holidays to you as well.It also sounds like you don’t have to worry about finding a paint shop- It is so nice to find somebody that knows what they’re doing these days.
Good job Mike.
I hope all you guys have a safe holiday season.
Take one in the ass, I was simply just stating what is easer for me at certain times.
How would that work? You can just turn the lock to unscrew it.
He was being humorous.
Your track record on automatic transmissions says a lot for your competency, just be glad that your mistake didn't cost you or your friend a lot of money or possibly a transmission. You either know or you don't , and again you can Take One in the Ass as far as I'm concerned !!!!no, you called me incompetent. You can turn it sideways and shove it up your own ass. No need to wipe it down fi
How does it ride?
