What did you do to your TJ today?

Got my marker lights properly attached to qualify as a certified @Plumber1 replica. Once it goes through inspection they said I may get a Plumber1Rated Circular badge that denotes its number.

I’m excited.

Also detailed the wheel wells. Cleaned, scuffed, degreased, cleaned and used rocker coating.

Next is reroute the turn/marker leads through the grill and in higher through a grommet.

How do you like the tires? I have the same ones, wanna see what others think of them. The tj is my first car, first time caring about tires, wanna know how they compare to some of the more “name-brand” stuff.

Kenda is a major player- I’m totally pleased for price. Pretty quiet. No true mud tire I’ve had is without some compromise.

I’ve been after a fast doorless mirror idea for a long time- something that would go in the glove box-

Finally figured out a combo- adjustable stick on blind spot mirror and an L bracket.

Works well.

Edited this to show the fast mirror idea-

I got a shop to install the new wheels, tires, brakes, gears, manual hub kit and diff covers. Really appreciate MrBlaine's work squeezing the big brake kit inside the 15" wheels. I got the brakes broken in, still working on getting the miles on the gears. It's so much better with 35s and 5.38s vs the 33s and 4.10s.

Good looking rig! What sliders are those?

Sad day for my TJ. I have to find somewhere to park it so it doesn't get towed. New HOA rules say only 2 car permits per condo. If you have any guests, you have to give them one of your permits. Then you have to park your vehicle somewhere else. I might be getting evicted soon anyway, after telling the HOA head what a dumb fuck idea that is. If 3 people live in the condo, only two can have a vehicle. Total BS. 🤬

Who's manual hub kit is that? Is it for 5 on 4.5 or 5 on 5.5?

Gave it a bath, not sure if helped much.

Next spring I plan to beat out or replace the bent up driver's side fender, install new grill I have ready, and touch up the paint

I got new rear shocks on. I went with Skyjacker Black MAX. If you remember, the passenger upper bar pin was ripped out from the bolts. It was a minor ordeal to get the old bolts out. I found out today that I couldn't reuse them so I get replacements (m8-1.25 x 30mm flange bolt grade 10.9) from Ace. Only thing now is the lower bolt. I'm using a torque wrench and I need to go to the store and get a deep 18mm socket.

I'm doing the same job to my '06 LJR. How much torque on top bolts? Thanks!
