Noticed this while installing some other mods today. Should I be concerned?

Honestly not quite sure what all the components are here on what looks to be something with the abs?

I believe exposed wire like that would be a concern. It would defeat whatever is connecting to the plug. It looks like it was probably burned up due to electrical shorting issues. Just a thought though, I could be wrong.

So, I live in a big city and my neighbor had his Jeep stolen. He said they are targeted by thieves a lot around here.

So, what are some anti theft things that I can do to the Jeep? One thing I heard was to install a switch in the dash, next to the fog light switch, and wire it to the fuel pump. Kind of a hidden in plain sight thing.

Any thoughts on this idea, or other anti theft ideas?

There are a few things to try, like a fuel pump cutoff switch, the old CJs use a coil trigger cut off. A steering wheel "Club" used to be good until battery powered grinders became a thing. Even a garage is not a guaranteed safe space. Here in Spokane WA some of these folks will take it out of a closed-up garage and winch it onto a trailer. Everything is just to "slow down" a determined thief. A combination of kill switch, club and garage seems to be the best deterrent I can think of. Some folks will add a Glock or S&W sticker for intimidation, but that is pretty minimal effect. I am also interested to see what other folks come up with for TJs.

1. Got the new deep transmission oil pan installed.

2. Got the clip out for the oil sender unit

I'm still waiting on Amazon to deliver the new oil sender unit, and the differential gaskets. I hope to get at least 1 of those done tonight depending upon the delivery.

EDIT: Amazon delivery is running late and I've already taken a shower. The OSU and the diff stuff is waiting until Tuesday.

What deep pan did you install???

Between the garage and hidden in plain site fuel pump kill switch and that will be good enough for me. The kill switch will be more useful for the times when it isn't in the garage.

I have an immobiliser alarm fitted…. I’m sure the blue flashing light on the dash will deter some thieves and move on to an easier target

Did the toyota headlight swap, kit was $23 from the dealer. 100 times better than the cheap Amazon headlights I had prior

I did that for my new sister-in-law the other day but put Osram H4 LEDs in there. Got them aimed and they are night and day better. Very worthwhile mod...

2002 tj 150k miles: So Today I wanted to fix an intake leak caused by my injector o rings but now I have a bad misfire on cylinder 6.
Tested the injector seal. Good.
Compression 180psi.
Swapped injectors and spark plugs from other cylinder. Did not follow either.
I thought it could be a circuit issue so I replaced the connector at the fuel injector. Did not work.

Im thinking it’s got a short circuit farther up the wire. Bunt this Jeep also has a fuel pressure regulator that has a bad drain back valve (bleeds back into the tank after priming the pump)

Any suggestions?
