What did you do to your TJ today?

Went out and put the battery tender on it. Also checked the air pressure in the tires after reading a post on here about a member having issues with their Jeep going all over the road. I haven't had that issue but I have had what I believe is the beginning of the death wobble. It is a strange thing, the Jeep goes to work just fine, but on the way home, going through a curve that goes the the left at about 45-50mph, it starts to shake in the steering wheel. That has made me not won't to drive it to work. I'm thinking that maybe my issue is in the air pressure. I aired the tires back up to about 28psi, but then it sat for a week or 2, then I drove it to work and had that weird wobble. I parked again for another week or so, then drove it to the vet. Slower speeds and also no curves like going to work. No issues. Today after reading the mentioned problem and someone mentioning air pressure, I checked and the right rear tire is 25 and the left rear was 19. Didn't check the fronts yet. So I will air the tires up before I drive it to work again, then will know more if that was the issue. :D

How’s your front track bar?

I had an issue with one spot on one road. Slight incline, slight left curve, 50-ish MPH, and a slight bump where the pavement went over a bridge. The wheel would oscillate mildly and then settle back down. I had a shop replace the track bar and no sign of it since.

I crawled under my '04 LJ and took a look at the new Borla SS cat-back exhaust. Borla discontinued the LJ direct fit system so I bought their TJ system and a length of SS exhaust tubing. The shop in Cuyahoga Falls did a great job welding in a length of straight pipe and installing the system. It fit on the original exhaust hangers.
The Borla Touring system is not a quiet exhaust. It rumbles when you step on the gas and has a drone at speed. I'm getting used to it. Sounds like my Sequoia with the TRD Performance exhaust. I'm gonna keep it.

What kind of space shuttles are you driving around in with all those knobs, buttons and switches? And do I see round, JK style vents in that top pic?

Looks great, where did you find the switches for the axle locks?

Thank you.

Gold Coast distributing- If you’re going to use the stock Rubicon Lockers the best that I can tell you have to tie the ground and white together- ground both - and just jump each locker lead to the red.

I don’t really know how to get the illumination working... But that probably just my lack of electrical know how. I had it coming on at one time but then it was killing the lockers.

I ordered a complete new brake kit (BMB) and hoses (Powerstop) to eliminate the sticking calipers and resolve our braking issues once and for all.
I even found a local shop willing to do the work for a fair price.

Most shops won’t touch customer supplied parts, but I got lucky and found a shop with a manager that loves Jeeps.

I’ll update when the project is complete.

I love it. The bigger the touch screen the better!

😬

The neat thing about this unit is you don’t even have to cut the dash you just trim the brackets

I was very wrong for a long time I thought that these type receivers were like trying to put a mini fridge on an adventure bike- I thought people were just kind of forcing something to work that really wasn’t designed to go together

Mine works absolutely factory and the big backup camera is great having a button to look behind me anytime I want is great and being able to stream video by simply plugging in HDMI into a port is awesome.
