I Just Scored The Deal Of The Century - My Second "TJ" - A 2006 LJ

The added bulk and height above the frame rails and the way it visually cuts off the grill is disgusting. It's the first thing I noticed on the Jeep when you showed up. And the big floppy D-rings are silly.

Don't worry, you're not insulting me at all.
I've felt the exact same way.

It looks out of place, an un-ordinarily shaped for the TJ front end.

It could be worse….. the idea was ok, the execution was ok, the result…… I should have known better. I need to change it.

This has been a great thread. I think that selling the Sahara as close to stock is a smart thing. My CJ Scrambler will always hold a place in my heart. I'm finally the proud owner of a TJR, a jeep I remember reading about in 4wheel magazines long ago when I first got into jeeps. I guess what I'm getting at is my third favorite jeep was my new 04 silver unlimited. Yours seems like a once in a lifetime find, I'm happy for you.

Everyone in CO is mad AF they didn't get it first. Me included

We can meetup one day, and go on a cruise through the local grocery store parking lots if you want.
I might even let you sit in it..
chop this guy off right here and it will look 🔥 🔥 🔥

I'm REALLY itching to grab the Barnes Stubby. I really like the looks of it. It's eerily similar to the Motobilt Stubby (which I also like, and might buy)

Is it bad that I don't think that looks terrible?

Am I blind, or am I just still too virgin to the TJ culture.

If it was shortened in height as well as could be brought closer to the grill it would be a lot better. I don't absolutely hate it but the longer I live with it the more I want to move to something like you're looking at.

I also have the matching rear bumper to this front on too...

The weld-it-yourself kit is priced very reasonably, which is the option i'm looking at.

For the price, it'd be tough to buy the steel & design the bumper yourself. (as long as you have a welder/know how to weld)
