What did you do to your TJ today?

For those who want to tackle this as a DIY project, the difficulty will be generating the CAD file just to get a fab shop to speak to you. Then the problem is finding a fab shop that is willing to take on such a miniscule production run.

This is an example of the contents of a DXF file that I used with Send-Cut-Send. The part is sheet metal and the green line indicates the bend they should make. Worked out well.

The bend point is calculated in sheet metal CAD software, where the thickess and the K-factor can be entered (https://sendcutsend.com/blog/what-is-k-factor-in-bending-terminology).

Those BFH sliders/boat sides looked nice.

For me, I'm not too concerned with ww2ww as I expected to keep factory (or factory-ish) flares. That definitely opens up some more options. I like the TNT adventure series too. They're on my short list.

Geesh, where did the day go? I just finished the 30 page re-read, 🤫 don't tell the boss, and I gota say the CavFab rockers really piqued my interest. The have the basics already done and it would be pretty easy to add the spacers, especially with @bluescapegoat 's notes. The price is right and maybe with a phone call they would send full ww2ww length? Anyone put these through light to medium abuse?

Since there's no step or anything like that, and depending on your fender setup, you could order the LJ version and trim the rear. Then they would be front fender to wheel well? At least in theory, I'm not certain that the torque boxes and/or body mounts are the same underneath.

Cab fab aren’t as boatsidey as Dave’s. Dave’s will do custom lengths.

I installed the B&M short throw shifter and a cabin air filter housing. I am interested to see how different the shifts are in the morning after the RTV dries. The cabin filter is 3D printed and the filter is from the JK's.

I also have this billet aluminum thermostat housing to go in tomorrow evening. Hopefully this one will seal better an will not be prone to cracking like the cheap aluminum factory ones are.

Who made the thermostat housing?

Re-wired my Side Marker lights so they aren't turn signals. Now the switchback modules in the front switch from White Park lights to Amber Turn Signals and the Side Marker lights just stay on Amber.
I didn't have any trouble with the LED's flashing correctly, I just wanted it to be like today's cars.

Actually yesterday, got the front and rear camera’s wired up. I’ll probably cut the wire to eliminate the parking assist guidelines on the front camera.

Job looks good -

If you’ll take some washers and bring your climate control out about an eighth of an inch it will stay cleaner in there and fit the bezel tighter
