MML Help

FINAL final update: the vibrations were way too bad with the 1” M.O.R.E. MML, even after replacing the transmission mount. Ended up ordering Anchor motor mounts and the JKS 1” Budget MML and I’m so happy I could cry. The Jeep feels better than ever before.

Nice. Did you end up doing it yourself?

I really doubt it was the MORE motor mounts themselves causing the vibrations. My own personal experience with them on my previous TJ was 100% perfect and they have a solid reputation for being vibration-free. My bet is it had to do with the installation, maybe one of them just wasn't seated or positioned correctly.

Yeah that's the frustrating thing about diagnosing and helping folks over the Internet... sometimes we help fix things, but a lot of times we don't get all the answers we want.

Sure wish I could have looked at this one...I'm going to need a BL and MML sooner or later and I really hope MORE didn't go Smittybuilt on us.

Sample size of 1 here...

I checked, double checked, triple checked myself. took it to my mechanic for a second opinion. had him check, double check, re-torque, change the transmission mount, check again. the last thing i wanted to do was get rid of the MORE mounts. the reason i purchased them was because of exactly what you just said. but i can say with pretty great certainty that my 2.5L TJ (and my wife) hated them.

Anyways, I have some for sale if you're interested!

Any reason you don't/can't send them back to MORE?

Curious to see what they have to say about em.

same experience I had with brown dog, vibes were terrible at idle, what a waste of cash, located a set of mopar mounts and cheap jks motor mount lift and all is great!

I have the Brown Dog. Seems fine, but I can’t remember what difference there was before. I think some commit installation error by tightening down the nut all the way. Brown Dog states that will cause vibes. I wonder if MORE is the same way.

I tired the recommended specs of 48 lbs thru, 40 lbs to engine block, 30 lbs to frame and well as tightening them down hard to the frame with an impact - before and after replacing the transmission mount. no difference. I was stumped. My mechanic said "these are great for off roading or flat towing but not for daily driver - too stiff." Thanks, Carlos.

Seriously tho, with the new anchor motor and transmission mounts the jeep feels like butter. It makes me so happy.

BMB 1.25” body lift, Savvy transfer case shifter amd MORE bombproof 1” raised motor mounts installed in 2 TJ’s recently.
No vibes at all. Smooth.
