60mph is a comfortable 2200rpm
How is the power from 2200 rpm to 2650rpm?

i’ve lost the ability to chirp the tires coming from 31s
the power is great. no problems with acceleration. i wanted to get to 80 but ran out of time before i hit my off-ramp.
Started life as a 2.4l 5 spd
It now has the R2.8l and a 6 spd.
I’ve completed the swap but had an issue trying to use the original computer to have gauges. gave up on that and the no bus issue so I ordered a complete sweep of auto meter gauges. I’m still wiring those in. Along with trying to figure out how to wire the electric fan in.
not to sure if I will leave the back plate gold. Will probably end up painting it black.

Is that the original gauge cluster shell, just gutted out? I'm getting close to building mine and looking for any tips!
yes that’s an original cluster. took lots of cereal box templates and cutting the backside out to get the layout i liked
I'm hoping I can get something close to yours! Really like the look and finish. Do you have any more pics of during and after the build?
did some math.
20.8 mpg
not bad for a aerodynamic brick
That’s a serious improvement. I get like 5mpg.
Great swap! Looks fantastic. Can it run on other fuels (like other diesels can flex) or must it be diesel?
