Edit- Shenanigans aside,Yeah I'd like some volume every now&thenšŸ˜ Especially when im ripping through backroads,I'd love to really hear the burbles&pops it makes 🤩(which happens quite often)

I was actually thinking about that ! once I get my tig rig to make the "final" exhaust 😁
And I'm gonna mess around on either buying or making some sort of vacuum box thing because I have an idea on using this as a quarter wave resonator too? Kinda like when people add a J pipe to reduce drone I'm thinking about using this as sort of a J-pipe/quarter wave resonator in a way

Idk if you get what I mean (I suck at explaining myself)
Also do you know of this brand ?They look oem looking/decent ?

I'm not familiar with them. I have an Apexi ECV on my TJ off my old Skyline but it's kinda the opposite idea of a cutout. I know a guy at work with electric cutouts on his Cobra replica and has no issues with them. I can ask the brand. I wonder the advantages/disadvantages of vacuum actuation vs electronic.

I wonder the same too,I'm interested in the vacuum operated ones since I've seen some oem cars have them so that left me with some interest towards those !

Da real Everlast on the bottomšŸ˜†It's a Cyclone 253DPI āœØļø It welds pretty smooth even when welding trough paint lol
Whipped up a quick frame at the bottom to set my everlast welder on(sorta miscalculatedthe 2 crossbars that were supposed to be for the feet on the welder....)

I spent more time at the scrap yard looking for usable material than what I did assembling and welding on said frame on this cheap harbor freight "fixture table" Spent alot of time looking for a straight section of angle Iron plus there was tons...(pun intended) tons šŸ˜† of cool old stuff,Saw a Bridgeport there šŸ„€ and a few other old HUGE metal mills but yeah, Oh! I also know where im gonna get material for my new exhaust,they had literal tons worth of food grade stainless tubing so once it's time to make an exhaust I'll be heading there šŸ¤™šŸ¼they had many many pieces of tubes with weird intricate bends I'll find useful!

Didn't put too much effort on this table to make it look nice but I will say but it'll work plenty for me, All i wanted was a welding cart but I saw harbor freight had these little guys and I told myself "Oooohh throw some casters and a beefier frame for the welder and ill even have a nice small welding surface.,...Niceeee šŸ¤™šŸ¼ITSS MINEEšŸ˜ " Plus its cheaper than the 250+ i was gonna spend on a US General cart plus the other mods i was gonna do (and it was gonna be too small for this small chonker of a unit (it was bigger than what i thought it was gonna be)

Other than that,Im still waiting on frame brackets to continue this mid arm project/ford 9" swap...

My 997 has vacuum actuated valves for it's factory sport exhaust. I deleted the center muffler whith a Sharkwerks crossover so it's nearly straight piped. They did vavles that close with vacuum, so on start it's always open and take few seconds to close. When I need to go somewhere early (4am) I really wish they were closed on start.

Given the option, I'd go electric valves, but if not make sure they are vacuum to open.

Ouuuu thats a car I'd like to own! That or a 930 narrowbody but cut it up to make it look like the wider turbo model ! Why narrowbody and cut it up? Welp I'm probably gonna do so regardless which one I get since it'll be a track car and not so much a cruiser. Plus the turbo models are expensive so narrowbody it is lol...

But back on track,Thats the plan! I want to utilize some cutouts that stay closed and open up under throttle ! That company offers that option too which Is cool

From the other thread : "You can swap to 5 lug knuckles and spindles & hubs for a 65" WMS... Same axle & strength just different outers.

I've never had a F150 & F250 HP44 sitting side by side but this is what everyone tell me.

When I build my Dana 60 front axle I'll be interesting to see what my overall width turns out to be. It's a cut down 99 Dana 60 to a 65" WMS. Plan on using the Currie 5 lug unibearings"

Gotcha! I seem to forget about that, About the 5 lug outers being at 65" But also becuase I keep hearing different numbers such as 67.5" Either or id be happy with something a tad bit narrower than the full 69"wms I currently have! But yeah I plan to run currie or spydertrax unit bearings,They're purdy! But im leaning towards the currie units since I like the look of those better (and they're cheaper)

I've got to pull my front tires off to work on my front axle here soon so I could measure from the C out to the wheel mounting surface which would give you the measurement to compare yours with.
