California List of SoCal members who like to go off-roading

On Monday I'll be running 3N16 Holcomb Valley Rd. from Running Springs Green Valley lake To Either Exiting through the high desert 3N14 Coxey Truck Trail, or 3N16 exiting at Big Bear Lake. Ill be taking my off-road teardrop trailer on its maiden voyage (off-road) catching the tail end of the snow storm. Should make for great snow wheeling and laying first tracks in some places. I'll be going at a moderate pace, keeping an eye on the trailer, and doing some filming of it as well. But If you're our there that day and see a red TJ with a white lifted teardrop, be sure to stop and say what's up! I will post an updated ETA before Monday on my arrival times, if someone is looking to tag along

I had plans with a buddy to run Pinyon Mountain on 12/6 but he had to back out. I still want to go, so figured I'd throw it out there to see if any forum members are interested? I'll be driving down from Orange County.

Yep, I'm yet another "add me!"

Live in Big Bear, mostly retired, and I love most any excuse to go play while hopefully not breaking anything!

Anybody going to Big Bear this weekend? I'll be there Thursday afternoon til Sunday, hit me up if you want to go wheeling

My dad and I will be in Big Bear this Saturday if anyone wants to join. We're going to hit John Bull at around 10am then follow that with Holcomb Creek. We expect traffic at both but hopefully not too much to hold us up. We're easy going but like to move at a steady pace. If this sounds like your kind of wheeling then let us know. We can possibly start at 9am but we're driving up earlier in the morning.

Just an FYI, it's a big and busy offroad weekend up here, and Saturday is the main day. CORVA is hosting the Big Bear Forest Fest plus there's a dual sport motorcycle group doing their thing too.

Thank you for this! We had no idea. We definitely don't want to be stuck in that so we decided we'll be going up there tomorrow instead. Feel free to join if interested.
 
Yeah, thanks for that tip, I also happen to be headed up there on Saturday to run gold mountain. We moved our meet up time to try and avoid their group scheduled to go out at 930.

Have fun on your run @Dev, would love to get out on a run with you someday.

I've got a small group going on a more mellow run tomorrow morning, but some friends and I took care of an obstacle someone not USFS added that was up near the top of Gold Mountain earlier this afternoon.
Also, @GregBelleville notice there are TWO Gold Mountain and John Bull Combo runs on Saturday with CORVA. One rolls out at 0730 and the other rolls out at 0930.
There's even a Sunday 0900 Gold Mountain run too.
Hope you have fun!
And BTW, my group (Get Rolling Big Bear) is doing a Benefit run for Frontsight Military Outreach (a 501c3 organization helping veterans - both diagnosed as disabled and those in danger of PTSD or any other issues that may lead to suicide (we're still at an average of 22 a day, or so I'm told) on Saturday, August 1st. I'll send any SoCal guys info as soon as I get it.
