Totally get it and I’d do the same. Stick around this place so you can bring them on future runs in whatever you wind up with!
I’ve also got a 2024 JLU Rubicon and love it. Great daily driver and can take me just about anywhere. Sometimes you just need more room and the comfort is a nice bonus.
Anybody here remember the Arizona Virtual Jeep Club? I came across this can cooler today and thought maybe some folks here were involved in it. I was active in 2012-2014 with my then JKU. I moved away to Minnesota in 2014 and fell out of touch and it seems to have disappeared somewhere along the way.

I did a bunch of runs with them, 2016-2019ish. Some key players dropped out and the website and forum moved to a facebook group. Lots of valuable information recorded on the forum just disappeared. We have been very fortunate to have Chris to maintain our community.
I've even considered a 4xe, they are cheaper, and when I did a deep dive why...IYKYK.
I once rented a 4xe and when wheeling with it (Sedona). The battery drained in about 30 minutes and then I was on gas the rest of the day. That electric range seems pointless unless maybe you have a 15 minute commute! I have the 2.0T on 35's (4.56 gears) and it has plenty of zip and I get about 16 mph around town.
I think the hybrid mode is what makes sense for most people. It's V8 power with 4cyl efficiency. I like the idea, I don't like that it's discontinued, unreliable, and complicated to fix.

Yep, I was a member for a long time. I don’t do FB so when the web site went away I lost touch with the group.
I had these on the TJ for so long you can still see the circles on the fenders where they used to be. The Arizona sun is brutal.
Have not sold the TJ yet, but here is the new whip.

Hello AZ Jeepers!
I wanted to share a couple of events that are coming up in case you are interested in participating.
The first one is Desert Splash put on by Parker 4 wheelers. Milt and I did it last year and had a blast! The trails are challenging and any run that includes a stop at the Desert Bar can't be bad!
The second one is the Chile Challenge in New Mexico. I have not been to this one, but reading the trail descriptions and others reviews, it seems challenging.
I have booked a campsite at La Paz County Park in Parker for Nov 11-15 it's the base camp for Desert Splash. For the Chile Challenge I booked a spot at Caballo Lake State Park , base camp for the Challenge, from 10/13-18.
For those of you who prefer more luxurious accommodation's, I know there are hotels and Air BNB's in Parker, not sure about the Chile Challenge but I'm sure there is the same.....

I am in for Parker as usual. I will get a room in town. I will look into the Chili Challenge.
