What's the best way to vent the axles for water?

What's the BEST-WAY to Vent the Axles for Water for my 2001 Jeep TJ SPORT 4.0L, 5 Spd Manual, DANA 30/35, 5.13 gears with Disc-Posi-Rear and Torsional LSD Front - 33" Tires - 3" Suspension and 2" Body lifts. Cro-Moly Front Axles and Manganese Rear Axles.

I hate submerging my Diff's in water - Especially Muddy Water - but sometimes it's unavoidable ;o(

Did the factory method fail you? Have you replaced the 20 year plus old hoses and verified the caps work?

Yes my rear Diff got polluted with muddy water - NOT NICE ;o(

I seen some Youtube Videos where Jeepter's attach a long hose to the Axles breathing vents and raise it over the Rad in front and over the rear tire in the fender well ?

You just described the factory venting arrangement. Are yours just vented straight out of the axle with no hoses? If so that's your problem, just need to restore what Chrysler gave it to begin with.

Thanks: I didn't buy her new from Chrysler and appeared to come with small vented caps covering ther Axles vents.

Get some 5/16" vacuum hose. Constant tension clamps.

My front one I followed the upper control arm driver's side and came up next to the brake booster. Factory has it right next to the overflow tank on the radiator.

Rear runs up next to the gas fill hose.

Make sure the nipple on the axle isn't blocked by debris.

Be aware that even after you get the vent hoses routed correctly, there is still the possibility of water intrusion past the seals. Water is heavy. The deeper you get the axles, the higher the pressure is that acts on the seals and just that pressure will force water in past the seals.

It also used to be very common for folks to repeat the wives' tale that dunking a warm axle in cold water would cool it and create a vacuum that sucked the water in. As you are aware from the vents, it is pretty difficult to pull a vacuum in a non sealed container. It is hydrostatic pressure that does it, not the vacuum.
 
Be sure to buy enough hose and route it so that it is able to move over the full length of travel. I added a loose loop held by zip ties above my rear axle to account for more than enough travel, want to say I did the same on the front as well.

Run the breather hose along the control arm the same way the rear brake line is run along the control arm and the shock travel becomes a non-issue

I seem to always forget that in the moment and just default to following the natural curve of the hose. Bad habit.
