I know this has been discussed many times, but I wanted to ask every with 2005-2006 4.0 jeeps, if you had this code, what was the final solution to correct it. I realize these jeeps are getting older, the plastic, wiring, rubber, etc., so curious specifically what you did that corrected it. Thanks

On the 05, 06 it could be a bad OPDA.
Also, the 05, 06 PCMs are junk, although the usual codes are for O2 heaters. Other symptoms: gauges dropping out, Jeep glitching off.

As an update, I have replaced most of the sensors, plugs and ignition coil and now I am only getting the P0300 after I drive for 10-20 minutes. The car is warm, and it just randomly comes on - usually blinking only when accrelerating and then turning off when I am off the gas pedal. When I run an obd2 scanner, the code is “pending” not “stored” which tells me the issue is not happening regularly, just sometimes. Has anyone else had an issue like this?
Since the car is warm and it idles and drives perfectly fine, I’m totally stumped, it doesn’t seem to be a fuel, cat or heat issue that I can tell so I may just need to take it to the dealership…any help/guidance would be much appreciated.
Misfire under load, weak spark or fuel most of the time.
You should have the spark covered.
Check the fuel pressure. Will it accelerate at WOT? Or does it start missing?

Thanks for the feedback, but It drives perfectly normal under WOT, when the light goes on, you don’t notice unless you are looking at the dash to see the light.
And it’s not something that only happens once I reach operating temperature because many times I’ll drive 10-20 minutes before it turns on (long after the engine has reach operating temperature). Anything other ideas or what it could be, I’m confused…
Other than checking the wiring across the dipstick for shorts, see attached carbon TSB.

You can also check the resistance of your injectors once they are hot to see if the coils are going in them. Should be 12 to 15 Ohms.
