Anybody up for a random meme dump?

There's some accurate and some very ignorant information ^^^^ here ^^^^....

On a Tri power set up "3 2s"....
Even though they have thicker throttle plates that stay "sealed" at cruise, they are still otherwise normal carbs with jets, float bowls, accelerator pumps, with 2 venturies, and yes they absolutely do need to be synced to open at exactly the same time and to work in progressive harmony with the center 2 barrel carb... If the linkage is uneven, one outboard carb will crack open before the other, causing a massive stumble, localized lean conditions in specific cylinders, and terrible throttle response. You are syncing the linkage mechanical timing, not the idle screws.

As for your "4 2s"
They can be run on solid linkage (all four opening at the exact same time) or they can absolutely be run on a progressive linkage (just like the "3 2s") where you cruise on two and drop into all four. In fact, running 4x2s without a progressive linkage on a street car usually makes it nearly undriveable because it bogs the engine down with too much air too fast.

It's fun learning, Thank you. But just to correct on 3 2's the first and third do not have accelerator pumps. When syncing I was speaking about vacuum at idle. If done correctly without progressive linkage I have not problem driving on the street. 4 2's should have a larger displacement engine but could be done with even a 327.

Got me on that one my brain was still stuck on dual quads with the extra accelerator pumps... 2, 3, 4, 8.. too damned many carbs!!!

As for you now moving the goal posts, you made a general comment about a meme that mentioned syncing triple carbs, not specifically 3, 2 barrels, just "triple carbs".

You assumed 3 2s and said they don't need syncing, and that statement on its face is false.

Now that your statement was shown to be incorrect, you contest it was all about vacuum at idle. Which falls on its face again because Tri-Power isn't the only triple 2 barrel carb setups out there... There are triple 2 barrels that do indeed need to have all 3 air fuel mixture needles set and synced... (non-progressive Stromberg 97s & triple 2-barrel Weber carburetors)

Finally you then throw in some anecdotal "well I've done" bs to try to save face...

E85 is 15% gasoline because any less isn't toxic to people. Otherwise E100 is what's in the photo and would be cheap. I'd pay $5/gallon at the pump for it?

They add gas for the drunks.

Well, cose to E100 anyway..
But at about $20 to $25 per 5th... Your hopes of paying $5/gallon are pretty small if you are buying Everclear.
and E100 (the poisonous stuff) is about $28+/gallon...
Or... the non poisonous stuff for @$60+/gallon...
