What did you do to your TJ today?

Full doors and 3 piece “half cab” on for winter. Seat heaters and heater keep me surprisingly warm even when temps get low.

Dry fitting the rear bump stops and painting the blue ring on the powder coated rims. Hand painted 24 washers and nuts- 1 wheel done, 4 more to go.

You definitely better get plenty of going together and all together before first drive pics. Cause I definitely don't see that staying that pretty for long unless it's being built to crawl local mall. And whats amazing is the way that paint makes that rusty/rotted out west coast frame look damn almost new. I'd dip my onion rings right in some ketchup off that cross member. Gotta be a new rust back to metal product.

BUT... looks damn good so far. 👍

Installed my new spare tire cover. First one was way too big [I ordered per Quadratec’s chart]. My wife was a big time Oriole fan, she had met all of the 1966 team. We both grew up there.

Hard to believe the Jeep is that small. Every time I see your from a back shot like this it reminds me of one of those little Shriner's trucks they drive around in parades. I guess I see 2 of those big guys off the Minions I think it is crammed up in that lil cab. 😆

Well if helps, the original frame was East Coast. I literally took the grinder to it and cut it in sections and then took it to recycle. The new West Coast frame was powder coated. It will definitely hit the trails and not stay pretty. But, I will have pictures to show how it started. 😀

Did you make that license plate holder? Because of my tire carrier latch I'm going to need something slimmer than stock when I do a BL.
I replaced the Tj plastic plate holder with a s/s Cj plate holder that fits under the turn signal, I did have to open up the large hole in the bracket to get the light connection to pass through. I’m going to have the 4 old plate holes in the body plugged and leveled out when I have Ripley painted.

LOL, Yah, now you made me even more curious. :D It does appear to just be wedged in there. Maybe I will get brave and go see if I can get it out. I'm just a bit nervous because right now everything works and starts. I hate to jiggle it, and make it so I can't start it. LOL I'll post what I find if I get brave enough. :D

Ok, I went out and tried pulling on it. It jiggles a bit but does not pull out. I was able to get my fingers around to the front a tad and I can feel wires coming out the other side. Other then that, it is going to have to wait till I pull the driver seat out again, that way I can lay down and look up instead of trying to be like a pretzel with my feet on the ground and my head turning like an owl. LOL

It looks like from your pics that the mystery box is on the drivers side. If you remove the 4 screws from the lower panel you should be able to access the unit.

I have been getting a clicking noise from the back end. After checking the various joints and boots, etc., I figured it might be the parking brake shoes loose in the drum and rattling around.

Lo and behold, that was it. The job only required $35 and 2 beers, and now there is ZERO clicking. Huzzah!

Ok, went out and took the cover off and I can see the whole thing, pretty much. I just can't see where the wires go once they go higher up in the column.

I did find this plug that wasn't plugged into anything that goes into the harness, but can't say what it goes to? It looks factory though?

Main thing is the Jeep starts so, I'm just going to leave well enough alone. LOL
