Does anybody have round LED tail lights?

looks good so far, can't wait to see how it finishes up.

i found those 1's DrD posted oh so long ago on Amazon for $35 ea. kinda like how the whole lamp goes both colors, the BU light is bright. add in grommets and 3 prong pigtails it's about 82$.
guess i'll have to get over drillin a big ass hole into brand new armor.

I finished my setup last weekend. Total cost $80 including license plate setup
Something I don't understand though is that my third brake light blinks with the right turn signal. they are not wired together. I still need to replace the flasher relay.

Thoughts?

With all the cutting you need to do on the noncut corners you have a 4.5" hole is nothing.

you got me there. but i could make a 1/4" mistake on wheel well openings and most could never notice, your never gonna be seeing both side at 1x.............now cock eye'd taillights. would be obvious to most.

i just might have enough room to get behind and center on the old holes, like y'all did. and poke a pilot out so i don't goof it. if it looks even a MM off it'll bug me beyond mention.

That would work. Since my tub was already cut I just reached up and outlined the holes onto the savvy corners once they were mocked up. Centered the best I could off the marks, then after reattaching the corners ground the 1/16 or so I was off to make them both flush. If you decided you want to make the cut down the line I'd be happy to get some measurements for you.

ATM i really just needed the bottom line off of the corners. so i could confirm the rocker panel lip measurements. once i get that BS finished, i'll start the surgery on the new stuff based on the wheel and if i can keep that location or have to go up or in with the lamps.

If you want you could PM me with some points you want me to measure, so I remember, and I'll do it later today when I'm near the jeep.

Somethings not perfect in the wiring, since I don’t have running lights, so I need to go in one more time and move something around. They work when I turn on the parking lights. Turned out good. Way better looking than those stock things, way brighter too.

and then i can't find details on most grommets, are they just pressure fit into any hole or do they have a designed grip range?

to me a grommet has a flange on both sides and a designed grip range between those sealing flanges. these things for the lights appear as pressure fit flanges and not true grommets, is this true or am i off somewhere?
The grommets have a small lip on them but the light expanding in the grommet also aids in its retention. Most of the grommets will handle sheet metal to about 3/16 thick.

i'll keep an eye in here and bump the thread again, when i get ready to move on these.........i appreciate the offer.

For those running the led taillights with integrated reverse lights , does your reverse lights come on at all with the key on ?
Mine come on with the key on , they are dim and barely noticeable, other than that they work great. Maybe they have always been like that and I just never noticed until today in low light.
I put a new clutch in this weekend and buttoned everything up today other than disconnecting the reverse switch I haven’t changed anything. I have the lights for over a year now and they have always worked great.
