What did you do to your TJ today?

6 months! That's frequent, although I'm guessing you don't have the beater cars on the road like we do.
mmm maybe although I have seen some on the road here that I do wonder haha...

6 months is based on the age...anything younger than 2000 you can get a 1 year warrant. mine is 1999 :cautious:

I got a nice ride in mine today, did about a 45 minute round trip to get a gallon of milk but did have windows down and sides and back of the top thankful for some mid 60 degree weather.

On the ride I did realize it may be time to buckle down and get a front bumper, I see a lot more people on here going for aluminum bumpers over steal is the weight savings that beneficial ? Would be afraid with the terrain I may see would beat up a aluminum one quiet quickly.

Installed a thumb throttle.

Changed the oil. Not a big deal but the first time I ever did it on any car. Went off perfectly except much more oil came out of the filter on removal than I expected from watching how to videos. Maybe I didn’t let it drain out of the bottom long enough before I went to the filter.
Anyway, a small success and another confidence builder. Ran it for five minutes , no leaks and level was perfect.

Used 10w-30 high mileage conventional oil to, hopefully, slow or stop suspected rear main seal leak.

Thanks again, this may be getting old to some of you, for your support and tutoring along the way. I bought this Jeep for the fun of driving but also to learn how to work on it and it’s great so far. Wife is happy I have a hobby again.

Put the Garmin in and the 6inch aint too bad on the side of the windshield, doesn't block any vision like I thought it would plus the wires fit perfect in the trim grooves so wires are totally hidden all the way to the plug..

yeah did mine similar although I really need a new one mine is so old half the streets are missing...I'm sure my GPS is thinking 'where the hell is he going I've just told him where to go ??" lol

Same over here, unless the rego expires or as you say police defects the vehicle, they'll keep on driving.
I feel like an expectant father waiting to hear if its a boy or a girl when I go for mine...Im usually adding up how much is this going to cost me this time haha

Not for long.... ;)

j/k. Supportive wife is the only way to make these Jeeps happen! Gotta love 'em (the wives)! (wife/wives = partner, as applicable. :) )
Yep! It’s true though. Our youngest just went to college this year so empty nest. I used to coach our kids and that took 6-7 days a week almost year round. That became my hobby. Add in COVID impacts to social life and the winter weather and she is thrilled I have something to put my attention to. Haha.

Been slowly installing my new pioneer powered sub TS-WX400DA. Was initially planning on installing the sub in the stock configuration however it was too big and heavy for my liking.

Decided to install it under the passenger seat. With 1 inch seat risers it fits perfectly.

I spent a lot of time measuring and test fitting the rear sub support (pine wood).

Routed the power cable on the door side, and the RCA cables with accessory control wire up the centre of the Jeep. Wrapped wires in tesa tape and cable ties for a clean install.

Power cable was routed through an existing firewall grommet to the battery. It is only a small gauge wire (yellow) so I'm guessing it can be spliced into existing wires for power?

Progress so far is a subwoofer working (thank God) and clearance from the seat.

Just need to cover the pine wood in black auto carpet and reinstall the centre console.

All finished with some carpet on the pine wood.

After all the trial and error fitting I'm happy with the result.
