Aloha, There has been some chatter about the Jeep red paint. My paint is original and the hood is showing some signs of age. Although it still shines up very well it has flaws. Also, when I installed the aluminum hood overlay, I countersunk the holes and used quality stainless flat head screws.

Another drawer organized, With flying, riding the fat tire bike and keeping one Oahu model happy, there does not seam to be much time left over for the TJ these days. Not complaining at all. BTW, who else has a 1/8" drive set of sockets?

Aloha, I started the day with the best intentions. Was going to organize another drawer of the tool box, maybe even wash and wax the Jeep. But then, this happened..................... At my age, I have learned my priorities!!! ;)

Organized one of the tool box drawers, monthly must wipe everything down with WD-40 or the corrosion will take over. I have tools I use regularly that are hand me downs from my Grandfather. The are over 100 years old now.

My 2 cents! While still living in South Florida I installed the Poison Spider vented louver. Cut the hood vents as well as counter sunk all the screw holes to make a cleaner install. I can say that there was a noticeable reduction of heat radiating through the floor, as it was now able to vent...

Remove what you have installed, install some rivnuts with maybe a #10 thread, counter sink the outside of the bracket and install some nice counter sunk stainless screws. Then tell everyone that was your intention, better then the factory install...............That's how we learn!!

That looks like a really nice set up, but here on Oahu, running door-less some Hobo would have that mounted on his shopping cart in no time!!!
