Noticed an odd phenomenon in my 04 rubi… I am getting a steering clunk at low speed parking lot maneuvers but really only after running down the highway 30-40 minutes after my commute. For example, left work today… did about 30 minutes on the highway and got off for gas and as I turned back and forth, right and left I was getting a clunk/pop.

Now the head scratching part is EVERYTHING in the front end is 6 months old or newer… ZJ steering top to bottom, all 4 balljoints, all 4 control arms, steering stabilizer, shocks, springs, unit bearings and axle ujoints, track bar…Even brakes. This leads me to believe its either the steering box itself or the steering shaft? Or both I’m not really sure, just curious if anyone has an obvious thing I’m overlooking. Thanks in advance

Have you crawled under to check that everything is still tight? Lots of new parts in the last 6 months makes me think of loose bolts...

I just rechecked the control arms last night because those were the latest addition, although the clunk was there before I put those on. I will recheck the steering nuts and bolts just to be safe.
