3/4" plywood & 2 sets of lower door brackets. No mirrors on doors, so I didn't have to space off the wall.

Cannot imagine what the issue might be. They swing unsupported every time you open them.Is there no issue hanging the door with the latch side unsupported?

I got tired of mines been around and got a piece of bed frame rail, drill few holes and a door hanger was born. I have no mirrors on the door as well.

What are the dimensions of these plates ? I have a fabricator at work who is great with things like this and a whole lot more@Speedo

The doors are static on the hangers not subject to bouncing around as they would be by driving. I wouldn’t worry about it at all.I’m looking at door hangers now. Is there no issue hanging the door with the latch side unsupported? That just seems to bother me.
That’s how the ones you purchase from the stores do it, only it costs a whole lot more.Yes of course I’ve leaned out of door. Again, it’s a few seconds versus long term storage.
