I have a hard top on my LJ, but if Safari tops were available with the top roof panel windows I'd buy one. I love Defenders too.
We live in Hobe Sound about an hour south of VeroYeah thats too bad, but sometimes things work out for the best!
What part of FL you in btw? I used to live in Vero Beach for a few years on the coast.
Thanks, the are pricey but they are unique to and the Barn Door on the back makes it very usableThose Gr8tops Safari Tops are awesome. The price is what stops me in my tracks, however. Ouch! Found one used one, but it was so heavily damaged that I didn't think it was worth fixing. Not sure that anyone did, as I believe he ended up throwing it out. Still, I love what they do to the looks of the TJ. Gorgeous rig!
Bolts on in the normal bolt holes and clamps on the windshield frame. Two people can put it on, the back barn door comes off with (4) 1/2” bolts probably 150 pounds.very nice Jeep! I just saw that hard top locally on a TJ in green with white roof...very nice. How hard is it to remove? very heavy?
Thank you so much! Took 6 months on the paint. I am 6’1” and I have 5 inches above my head now. Much quieter inside. She loves it even more than she did before!
I painted it myself in my garage. These are som pictures at different stages of the process. Sealer, then Basecoat, then clear Clearcoat prior to wetsanding with, 1500, 2000, 3000 and finally 5000 grit paper prior to buffing. Lots of hours but I am really happy with the way it turned outWhat did you pay for that paint job? If it looks 6 months, I'm assuming that it's a damn good paint job! That's the way to do it!

WOW, you did it the right way too!
Are you a painter, or was this your first time?
No way that was his first time painting. That is a top notch layout of the finish. That's a nifty little cross flow booth you constructed too! A clean painting environment with good visibility makes a huge difference in the end result. Well done sir!
First car in 25 years. About 4th Car overall.
