2005 TJ 4.0, OPDA leaking?

Had a 500 mile highway road trip this weekend, and towards the end of the trip, even over the incessant air leak from my hardtop, i heard a weird chatter i had never heard before. Upon arriving home, I took a peak underneath and noticed oil slung all over the passenger side of the motor, following it up, it appears to be coming from the OPDA. I've ordered a new one (crown, should be here later this week), but I'm curious if that is a possible source of the oil leak. FWIW, i have replaced the valve cover gasket and haven't noticed any problems until this trip
 
Had you replaced the OPDA before? I have an 05, and it’s a known issue that can be a major, major problem. The Crown is what I put in a few months ago. It’s a good part, but keep and use your sensor that is in it, the Crown sensors I’ve red are not good and cause issues.
 
Yeah, after reading I wasn’t wanting to get as far as it could go, failure is a pretty bad issue. If it’s just leaking that’s a best case scenario failure.
 
I've been trying to get my hands on a new OPDA for about three weeks. Crown is just now shipping out to their vendors from what I understand. How did you order direct from Crown Automotive, they are dealer only aren't they?

I've had a Crown OPDA on order since early June. Not sure if it's COVID related but all sellers have been back-ordered for months now. My original order was with Quadratec but I canceled after they couldn't give me a ballpark ship date. My second order is with 4WP and it's the same deal, everyone seems to be waiting on Crown.
 
JeepHut.com received their shipment from Crown Automotive last Friday and are supposed to start shipping them out today, I hope they do, I have a couple of hunting trips soon and really want my Jeep along. Fingers crossed. Quadra suck says they will be shipping Sept 8, Amazon is saying Oct 28th.
