32RH transmission issues

Sometime back I read a thread talking about the 32RH saying the pump did not operate in park and with some models with some age you have to shift into neutral for a few seconds before putting in gear. The thread stated the pump operated in neutral in these transmissions but not in park. I have not been able to locate that thread. Does anyone have any info on this or know the thread?

It is true that the 30RH and 32RH ATF pump does not operate in Park though it operates in all other gear shift positions.

If your Jeep doesn't start moving as soon as you shift into Drive or Reverse it's likely either low on ATF+4 or its check valve located inside the hard section of the coolant line is leaking.

OK thanks Jerry. I found articles on the check valve and its location. My Jeep does not have one so i ordered one from Amazon for about $16. Appreciate the help
