32RH Transmission Issues

LOL, it definitely doesn't need to be anchored to a bolt if you use enough RTV. Trust me, I've tried it 6 ways from Sunday. But I've decided to completely say eff it, I just ordered this, which some of the mopar a-body guys say is a perfect fit.

don’t really look straight enough?it will extend farther from the firewall,let us see the end result.

This ended up not working. It goes into the hole ok when I test fit it outside the jeep. But with the transmission in place, the bends are just different enough to make it be a real problem, and the bracket ends up facing the wrong direction. It's about 5" shorter than the OEM tube which would have had it sitting down pretty far down, but if it would've mounted correctly I would've lived with it no problem.


And then to offer full closure on this topic (or the part I hijacked anyway), I put the old tube back in as-is, w/o any RTV and put fluid in last night. It appears to not be leaking so far. So this may have been much ado about nothing.
