A/C recharge question

Now that you mention it yeah, I remember that price. Maybe 2 years ago? My Cutlass has a slow leak that requires completely refilling the system every spring and maybe a 12oz can worth over the summer. For $4.88 it wasn't worth fixing. It's getting there now.

I’d suspect the schrader valves as a starting point for a slow leak.

Cheapest R134a I can find is Walmart @ $10 per 12oz can. Used to be $6 just last year.

I read about the price going up a few years ago so I got a 30 pound jug from Sam's Club for $79.

It's the crimp in one of the hose ends. It's a 1975 and I need to have a new hose made. It doesn't get driven too awful much though so it's not super pressing.

I haven’t seen 30lb cans at Sams for several years.

The last price I saw for 30lbs was over $350. This is first time I've seen anyone talk about Nylog outside of an AC forum. It is the best way but a little PAG oil works too. When I'm filling with 1 pound cans I dunk them in a bucket of hot water to squeeze a little more out of them, and put them on a scale. I try to be within 1oz of spec. I really hate r134.
