A drill that will last forever

From back when men were men and drills were drills. Probably older than @Zorba 's drill.

And yes, it'll last forever because I don't use it anymore. Sometimes things that won't last forever are the better choice imho.

WHen I was young and wanted to "help" dad in the shop, he used to give me a 2x4 and a brace and bit to play with. Talk about a way to wear out a youngster...Auger bit and about a 4" offset on the brace

Those are fantastic in the right situation. A sharp bit takes little effort.

I break a drill every year, and I really don't use them that much. Porter Cable was the worst one of all. At a hundred a piece the third one really pissed me off. It's the chucks that break on me

I have two of these - and I use them from time-to-time. There's nothing like needing to drill through 2 feet of wood and being able to "feel your way" through it.
