Nope, haven’t even started the sound system so I’m golden.

Just got to transfer over my headlights, winch, half doors, and maybe a few other minor things.

The amount of money this will save me is ridiculous. I think it makes a lot of sense financially since we all knew I would end up here again.

Holy cow, late to the game on this. Congrats, great find. Glad you didn't install the audio yet. More fun for Chris!!!

Did anyone look at the new Jeep for you? Where in Mass is it? You want it driven to down to Don for the audio install, you could ship the audio back to him, pay him a couple bucks for the install, then ship the Jeep back to you.

Nope, I didn't get the audio installed yet (though I did get the speakers mounted), so that works out as I can just install it in the new TJ instead.

No one has looked at it yet, but he's sent me so many photos and been so transparent with me that I wasn't too worried about it. Not to mention the vehicle came from the Southwest before it was in Mass.

He's in Sandwich, MA if you know where that is. How far is that from you and Don?

Our kids started school yesterday. Depending on how long school lasts before they cancel it, I think I may finally have time to do an audio install. With no kids around, I finally have time to work on crap again. I'm just crossing my fingers school stays open!

You lucky guy. Our 12 year old is online 8-12:30 daily and daycare for the 3 year old is still closed. The few that are open require you to get a covid test and quartine 10 days if the kid has a runny nose or fever. We've decided to keep her out even if they reopen since it will likely be more hassle then it's worth.

I knew you'd figure out a way to make this happen. Thanks for the chat and congrats on the new addition!

What happened here is that there's apparently tons of political pressure on the governor (and governors of each state) to reopen schools. Some are reopening, but others aren't.

Since her school is a charter school, they don't have a teachers union. The board voted unanimously (5 to 0) to reopen schools. Now ultimately I don't know what will happen, but I wasn't too concerned since we all already tested positive for the antibodies as we had COVID-19 at some point. That doesn't mean we're immune to it, but at the same time, I'm not worried about it.

I'm hoping they are successful at keeping the school open, because we really need this. It's been incredibly hard for us with 3 little kids to try and home school them, keep them busy, socializing, etc. Literally the past 6 months or so have been me trying to take them out to do anything and everything possible just to keep them busy.

One more reason I'm looking forward to this new Jeep is because I can throw them in the back and then go wheel right away. I don't need to "build" it to a certain point. My silver one being stock is not enough to go out on the trails with, especially around here where there are lots of rocks.

Now I just need to coax you out of that stroker :ROFLMAO:

It was nice chatting with you. I still personally believe that since you have an Unlimited (and being as built as it is), you'd be a fool to replace it, so definitely keep it (y)

I've done enough road trips in the TJ to get a truck and trailer at this point. I've driven my TJ 900 miles in one day before and all I have to say is absolutely fuck doing that again.

If that TJ went for sale a year later it was mine ;). Damn college and not being able to have two vehicles. Nice pick up @Chris.

Sandwich is in Cape Cod and I am familiar with the area as I am originally from the Boston area. That drive to Sandwich is 3-3.5 hours from my house, and I am like 1.5 hours from Don. We are both close to NYC and RT 95 so locating a shipper will be quite easy. Don would surely do this if it can be coordinated.

Funny thing is, Sandwich is a small town, so depending on the Seller's age we may know the same group of people. Although I did see veteran on the license plate so he may be quite a bit older, but maybe not.

He recently moved there (very recently) from Nevada. He's retired military as you can see. I may have to talk to Don about it just out of curiosity. I don't mind installing stuff as long as I have the time, it's just the kids that have been taking all my time up until recently!

If you could have it towed to Don he would surely do the install. Or if I could get to it I could drive to Don, if it had temporary plates. Cost to get it to Don, plus install costs, vs Chris doing the install? I think that is what you are weighing...

I'm weighing that and logistics in terms of getting it picked up and shipped, though that wouldn't likely cost anymore than it would if I shipped it from his place.

Congrats on the new Jeep!

I wouldn’t sell the full doors. On long drives even with the soft top they are significantly quieter and make long trips nicer. Get hanger for the garage and keep them in case you want them.

Yes, you have a point there. I guess I'm just in that Arizona mindset of when would I ever use them? But you're right, during long trips I'm sure they make a big difference (y)

Potentially have it towed to Don and then shipped to you...good option to consider and I know Don would love to do this.

See, full doors are my summer doors here. Keeps the AC in better 😂 half doors come out fall through winter lol

Haha, I hear you. I've been avoiding driving mine during Summer due to how hot it is :ROFLMAO: Then again, I also have half doors and no top.

Note to self...self don’t sell the only top you have for your Jeep when you buy and sell like @Chris

If Chris drives this across the country he could make a pit stop in each state for a Wrangler part through Craiglist.

First stop is Hartford for a hard top
