Anyone try this as a non-permanent tailgate table?

My TJ is my DD and is used for off-road as my camp rig two to three times a month. I would love a removable tailgate table. Spring cleaning the garage and came across a wire rack shelf and the idea came to mind that it might make a reasonable tailgate table that could be removed when the rig isn’t doing trail duty. Clip on and off. Toss and replace if it gets rusty.

Anyone try this?

I have one of those in my kitchen sink to let my dishes drip dry.
