I’ve read several threads on carpet replacement and I would appreciate if someone could chime in on the on the difference in sound/heat insulation capabilities of Bedrug vs Carpet. I am about to do one or the other.

The carpet I am looking at is ACC Custom in cut pile with mass backing. I would prefer black which is not available in BR but it is not a dealbreaker. I am going to put heat/sound shield on the tunnel with either but don’t want to do that on the pans. I also plan on using Lloyd mats “RubberTite”heavy rubber floor mats and cargo mat. I understand that BR is better for wet/muddy situations but not a major concern for me.

FYI not an appreciable difference in price..

Link to Lloyd mats if interested. They come in many colors

I have the ACC carpet with mass backing. I did not add any additional insulation under the carpet. No issues with heat bleeding thru like with the factory carpet. HVAC system works great. In fact we keep both air and heat turned much lower now. With my hardtop on running 70dba for noise. The stuff works fantastic.

I have BedRug and two layers of the Noico stuff. It makes a huge difference, that's for sure.

Did you ever get the Loyd’s? If so, how do you like them? Do you have the cargo liner with backseats in? Thanks
