Bent Stock Front Bumper Fix?

I managed to do this little bend and crinkle to my stock bumper about 16 years ago somewhere in the Southern California Desert. I hit a large immovable object going about 15-20 mph, while hard on the brakes. Sand is the Devil I tell ya.

I tried to fix it once years ago and gave up. But I need to fix it now because the right fog light points up too high to pass Virginia inspection. Oregon and Cali don't care. I was wondering if putting a hydraulic jack under the back lip of the bumper would fix it "enough". I am not sure what putting a half a ton of vertical force on the corner of the bumper would do. I'm not worried about the bumper so much as concerned about the mounts on that part of the frame.

Thoughts and Ideas appreciated to fix it myself or if you have an idea how much a body shop might charge to fix'r.

I used my winch to straighten mine. Hell, a pair of vice grips and a pipe could probably fix that. You aren't going to do anything to the frame before you absolutely mangle the bumper. Just bend it with whatever works to get it back into place.

Take it off and hammer it out. Might need some heat.

Cut it off flush with the frame then file the edges smooth. Touch the edges up with Rustoleum Satin Black and you're done.

Not sure how things are where you are at, but here in CO I see stock TJ front bumpers pop up on Facebook marketplace all the time for dirt cheap. Checking right now there's one for $30 and one for $10!

They are fairly easy to bend and or pound back into shape. Yours does not look bad.

I vote short 2x4 and floor jack, or take a becch vise off the bench and clamp it closed on it, I’ve done both

A jack, a 2x4, and some C-clamps. I've straightened many CJ bumpers with those. If necessary, strap it to a telephone pole to pull it out.
