I run the Barnes skid. I wouldn't really call it a tummy tuck as it only raises the transfer case 3/4 to 1 inch. However, it is an improvement over than the stock skid and the price is right. Currently it's $225.

Save the monies, just take your time and do it right. Once you're back from the re-gear and go wheeling a few times you'll get a better feel for what you actually "need"its not a cool factor upgrade, im just anticipating wanting to get one for clearance proposes, im not even getting one rn, it will probably be next year sometime. I think WAY too far in advance, its kinda a problem
If you dont already, go with the JB conversions super short SYE. Nearly everyone will agree with that. A longer driveshaft is better for the angleBTW y'all imma have a sye, adj rear control arms by the time I get a TT, I already have a MML and BL
and get your order in now as they are several months out at the momentIf you dont already, go with the JB conversions super short SYE. Nearly everyone will agree with that. A longer driveshaft is better for the angle
If your not in a hurry they usually run a 20% off for Black Friday with free shipping. That's when I picked mine up for $180.ive thought about that one
They only have the middle option for the '03-06 crowd now unfortunately. From what i know, UCF offers "intermediate" options, one of which requires no mods.
Other than that, you either TT or you don't TT.
in aluminum section there are all 3 options in stockThey only have the middle option for the '03-06 crowd now unfortunately.

I have this and it has served me well. I also did not want to make all of the other mods for raised skid. Just smoother and tougher was good enough for me.I run the Barnes skid. Sums it up pretty well for me too, cant' beat the value.I also did not want to make all of the other mods for raised skid. Just smoother and tougher was good enough for me.
If that is the case then just tuck it all the way. That’s all you need.BTW y'all imma have a sye, adj rear control arms by the time I get a TT, I already have a MML and BL
And a new DS, but yeah - that's just a drop in the bucket at this point. If that is the case then just tuck it all the way. That’s all you need.
So true!Go Big Or Go Home !
Dear God, why did I buy a TJ to modify. This thang is getting expensive.
Sounds like he doesn’t have the DS yet anyways. So he could do the tuck first and measure the right driveshaft the first timeAnd a new DS, but yeah - that's just a drop in the bucket at this point.
Every pound lost is a pound weaker, a simple welded aluminum skid that weighs less than the stock plate is weaker than the stock plate. Not a good way to go unless you never hit the skid. The real question you should be pondering is aluminum versus steel.
