I have a 2001 sport with 15 in wheels 30/9.5/R15- currently have BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A & cant stand them terrible in rain and snow. The original Goodyear Wrangler GS-A tires were the best. Looking for a tire that is good in preferably/mostly rain and then on ice/snow. The jeep is going to my 20 yr old niece not being used for off road. Want tires that are safe for her. I keep getting different answers from Discount and Belle and even Goodyear. Txs in advance.

I have Cooper Discoverer AT3’s on my TJ and my Z71 truck. They work well in wet and dry conditions but I don’t have much experience with them in the snow since I am in Texas.
That would be an all season tire with the 3 peak snowflake rating if you're not going off pavement.

It's all just opinions. Look at the actual ratings before you buy any tire.
These are the tires that I have run on the Wranglers I have owned:
Firestone Destination AT2/AT3 and Cooper Discoverer AT3; both have the 3 Peak Snowflake emblem.
Both sets of tires performed well on the highway, rain and snow (no more than 12") and even ice as long as your drove sensibly.

Michelin LTX M/S2 https://www.michelinman.com/auto/tires/michelin-ltx-m-s2 I’ve run these tire on several different vehicles. They’re silent, soft, and on lighter vehicles I get around 80,000 miles out of them. My heavier truck seems to be on track for 70,000.

I'm an expert, so my opinion is science, and you can't question the science.
I'll add a second vote for Cooper AT3 4S. Have a set on the F150 for a west Michigan winter now, including a trip thru CO during elk season. Good road manners and a look that bridges the gap between a more aggressive AT and street tires.

Most people rate tires (opinions) on how cool they look and how quiet they are when new. Actual long term wear ratings are the only ones I ever use. I would take your opinion as gospel for street tires. I think my Scion and your Jeep have the same tires.

Michelins are great tires. Costco had the best price in my area. I had them on my 4-Runner for almost 3 years driving back and forth from MT. to SoCal. while dragging a cargo or car carrier trailer through rain, snow and ice. A couple of my neighbors run the same tires.
A little speedy up front but , the piece of mind will be well worth it for your niece.
