Body lift reduction

I have a 01 tj with a 2.5 body lift and I want to reduce it down to 1.25 and add a 2.5 suspension lift, if I just cut the pucks down to 1.25 what if any modifications would have to be done as a result of the shorter height. I know of course shorter bolts but what about gas filler neck, linkage, and shroud?

Your fuel filler tube should be fine. Just loosen the hose clamps and adjust it. You'll probably have to adjust your shift linkage for transfer case. With that high of a BL the linkage would likely have been modified to function properly. You'll also want to check fan and radiator shroud interference. That would have been modified to realign with the BL as well. Dropping the BL down misaligns it again. There are several things that should have been adjusted for the BL, but several ways to do it. I'm not sure how you or the PO did them, so I'm shooting in the dark here.

And then take the remainder of those body lift pucks, the parts you cut off, and offer them to someone here for their 03-up seat lift risers. 8 required for both front seats.

check the steering linkage from the wheel to the gear box and see if they used a riser. if present could also need reworked or removed.

Get a set of Savvy 1.25" body lift spacers (includes hardware). They're concave on the bottom side and anodized aluminum.

If present, the riser can stay. Mine has a riser with the Savvy BL.

yes sir, i have 1 as well, just to restore the angles the factory had, but could have been ok without it. it's just my OCD.

at 2.5" i'd have to look, with all the hokey crap we see.

Thanks guys for all of the advice and yes I really like the Savvy Bl, the TJ had the lift on it when I purchased it 3 years ago and I just can’t get use to the large gaps exposing the frame.

that gap allows ease of other things.
it becomes your best friend if you have to get to the top of your rear shocks. or wanna lessen the profile of the skid. or get your wheels an inch of up travel and doesn't cause vibes in the drive line.
