Still a pretty cool could-have-been car. It would have put some pressure on Corvette, and it'd be cool to see what could have evolved from that competition.
Ford is bringing back Mystichrome. I've only seen one Mustang painted this color years ago. I kinda like it. $15,995 for anyone interested, plus another $5,000 if you want to tweak the color.

I'm going to incorrectly assume you were talking about the MINI Wienermobile for no other reason than my own entertainment.
To be fair how many cars had the wall to wall touchscreens in 2005 ? , If they went ahead and built this it would have this " wonderful " feature now.

As a kid purple was my favorite. I still like it but it's gotta be a Deep Purple. Looking at that thing and seeing the price I could just do without any purple and buy one of these used for probably less than that paint job costs.
My wife drove my Jeep (manual) to work last week and had a revelation. At her job, there are a handful of young guys (16-22ish), a handful of older ladies (50+), and few girls (25-35). Out of that mix, none of the guys can drive a manual, and almost all the women can. So weird. I actually looked for a manual car when I bought my first car, then I daily drove manual for the first 10+ years of my driving life. I enjoy rowing gears.

Back in the day, Oldsmobile represented the cutting-edge division of GM. At one point in time, they presented models that were far ahead of their time, displaying their power and style on the global market. And one such car is the Oldsmobile Toronado from 1966. It was a big, powerful personal luxury coupe with a twist since it was front-wheel drive. In those days, only a few imports were front-wheel drive while all domestic cars, regardless of the class or engine, were rear-wheel drive. However, Oldsmobile wanted to introduce something different, so they constructed an ingenious FWD system. Their designers drew a fantastic-looking shape with a low roof and hidden headlights, while the power came from a big block 455 V8 with 385 HP. The Toronado was a success since it introduced superb driving characteristics, leaving the competitors in the dust. With 385 HP on tap and superb handling, the Oldsmobile Toronado is a full-size muscle car. The first out of the two generations was the best, while the later Toronado was just a Cadillac Eldorado with a different grille.
