Let's revive this thread. I am looking to add a CB. I am thinking off attaching it to my Morryde carrier and getting the recommended Uniden. Has anyone done this and have advice? pics?

Lots of people have installed Uniden CB's and attached the antenna mounting bracket to a tire carrier.
The key is to be sure the antenna mount is well grounded to the tub and frame - sand away power-coat as necessary to ensure good metal-to-metal contact. Use tinned copper ground strap if necessary to ensure a good RF ground plane. Run the wiring directly to the battery if possible.
Other than that it's relatively routine.
