Chinese Antirock

Wow, I hope John Currie patented his Antirock! I just popped a message off to him.
Even if he did, the Chinese don’t care one bit about patents. Amazon however may take it down. Of course then you’re just playing a game of whack-a-mole. One seller gets taken down and another one pops up.

I can understand why @mrblaine hates this shit.

Amazon doesn't give a shit either. In fact, they probably encourage it and play dumb. $$$$$

They have a new cast design. It's possible the Chinese factory that made these for them was told they were moving on to a new design. The factory wanted to know what to do with all 20k they had sitting on their shelves and Currie might have told them to scrap them, Amazon is scrap right?

If they outsource it from China, I have zero remorse for Currie.
I have friends working for railroad in Europe, they order all the replacement parts from China. Pack broken and ship it to them, they copy and ship back. You just have to make sure to specify what is broken, otherwise they will copy everything to millimeter.
When I found out what is the cost of entire procedure, in comparison to ordering it from local factory, I could not believe and could not understand how they do it for so cheap.
To add more salt to wound, I have a rifle bipod that cost $300, my friend has exact same, from China for $20. Exact same, and stood all the abuse we threw at it!

So yah..
There are things such as free market, capitalism and so on... Sure, your product - your price, do what you want. If they pay, then it is worth it.

There are also things such as morals and qualities related to it. And when someone sells you something for $300 when it cost them $3 to make it, $2 to ship and $50 to market it as the shit of the shits.. that is a pure "fuck you" to the customer.

Same garbage happened in gun industry with AR variants and optics. Could not get shit for less than $1000, then someone (like China) flooded market with same shit with $900 discount. Guess what, everyone bitched yet everyone dropped their price, cause they all milk the same tit from the same cow.

I applaud to the Amazon seller

I mean, didn't a lot of us on this forum buy the Chinese knock-off LED headlights? I was literally thinking yesterday, (and every time Im on a dark desolate road) how amazing my Amazon LED's work. And holding up great thus far. No one questions if they're "real" or not.

Still, shitty these companies thieve anything they can recreate but we (Americans) consume it.

EDIT: regardless of above, you won't see my Jeep with a bootleg 'antirock'.

Its called shanzhai and it is an accepted culture in China. Companies like Esee knives and Emberlit have horrible issues with this. Amazon will try to help but ebay will do nothing about it.

Go ahead and try it. There is more to a product design than dimensions. There is a fair amount of engineering in that torsion bar. If it's not right, it will break

Not that the Chinese are not smart, capable people. But if they just copied the dimensions, it will probably fail

That sucks for currie/rockjock. I try my best to support American business the best I can with my build. I knowingly cheaped out on the wheels though because 550 each was hard enough to swallow vs 1000+ for the forged usa version. Also the front Revolution shafts weren't available.

Ultimately whose fault is it? I folks here in the states took pride in being a USA citizen and didn't by the chinamart junk, and didn't do business with companies who did, and only bought more made in USA products, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Lmao.
I will start by saying that I would not ever buy this knock off.
However I cannot help but to chuckle at how upset some of you are about this when there is a 25 page long thread on here applauding the Chinese Truck Lite knock offs. Same thing isn’t it?

It's different because there are people on this forum that rub elbows with John...so its different but it's not different..
