Coolant leak from heater core drain tube

Have developed a coolant leak from the heater core drain tube, would I be correct in assuming the heater core is bad. It started after replacing my radiator cap?

You’re talking about the drain in the firewall, near the battery and a/c drier/accumulator? If so, yes.

If you’re changing it yourself, it’s not particularly hard, just time consuming.

Does this look like a heater core leak to you guys? It’s orange (antifreeze). Was parked for 3 days (forgot to turn off the heat but don’t think that should cause it). Does Blue Devil sealant work? This is my first Jeep. Don’t make fun of me lol. Thanks!

If it is coolant you need to replace your heater core. Do not put any stop leak in your cooling system. It tends to plug up things that should not be plugged.
