Hey gang,

I have a 99 4.0l manual. I've replaced every coolant hose and clamp, and the thermostat and it's housing. Getting wicked belt squeak and coolant is leaving the reservoir, but I can't find a drop of coolant under the car or on the belt. Zero temp issue while running. Just drive 9 hours straight. Any thoughts?

Any coolant coming out of the AC drain? Vents smell like coolant?

If no, pressure test system and check coolant for exhaust gases.

Did a head gasket on an 04 WJ 4.0. Low on coolant and overheated. Head gasket. There was a nice tear in the heater hoses just where you couldn't see.

I'm going to pressure test. No a/c in mine. I do smell coolant from the hood once it's hot. I noticed some fluid across the top of the radiator, the tabs or whatnot.

Yea my '01 has a slow leak somewhere that I can't seem to find. I top off the reservoir every month or so. I just stopped worrying about it.

Sounds like a blown head gasket to me.

Sounds like your rad is leaking at the O ring or it's got a crack.

I was losing little bits and it was annoying b/c I have a new cyl head, new radiator, water pump and hoses and I am watching it close. With the GO-5 if your engine bay is clean you can see telltale signs of dried white residue and I cleaned everything up spotless but white residue kept appearing on the top tank and on the fan and pulley hub. Finally changed all the worm clamps to constant tension about 2 weeks ago and so far no coolant missing and no white residue.
