Installed the 20561 kit 7 years ago and it's worked well. However, now the custom U-shaped joint in the return line is leaking. Derale tells me they do not sell this piece outside the kit. Maybe try cutting the clamp off and re-clamping with a tension clamp?

I’ve had mixed luck with those full circumference crimp style clamps. I’d cut the hose back nice & clean, cut off the clamps, clean the barbs on the u fitting. Tension clamps work great when they’re the right size.

Since you are disconnecting one of the hose connections and will lose a few ounces of ATF; I agree with JB that you should consider replacing both hoses and all four clamps.

Hadn't considered that. That cooler has maybe 5k miles on it after 7 years, and it lives in my garage so no weather extremes. No cracking or anything going on that I can see.
Personally, as recommended above, I'd just cut an inch off the existing hose and reattach it with a new clamp. :)
