distributor replacement question 97 tj.

I am using the marking of the rotor method to replace distributor. Can I safely use a screwdriver to move the oil pump slot into position to drop in distributor or will this cause a problem. thks.

A clean large screwdriver is what you are supposed to use.

No. Oil pump has nothing to do with timing.
