DrDmoney’s 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport

Bought some Coyote deflators, I think I can do it faster or as fast with my ARB deflator, but this lets me get to a set pressure while multitasking. I set them at 9 psi for starters. I played with them at lower pressures and they are very consistent. Once set it’s just a matter of screwing them on and they do the rest. I’ll have to test which is faster some day 😁

I finally ran a tank of gas out of the GR tank and the low fuel indicator comes on with a little over 2.5 gallons. I drove 6 miles to the station after it went off an put in 17.1 gals.
That's much better then the stock tank. Did you end up pushing the axle back any? You have 5" of room now correct?

I’ll move it back a little before ordering shafts but not much, it was already rubbing the old tank skid and as is I need to trim the rear of the wheel opening.

New project for J-Low, 5.0 to 1 Atlas 2 speed Trail Series transfer case, the old 231J with 4/1 Tera-Low kit has served me well for 20 years now. I worry though that one day if it does need parts there won’t be any aftermarket support for it. @Alex01 and I ordered them a day apart and we both received them within minutes of each other about 30 days later.

Advance Adapters sells a truss style jack to hold everything up while you work underneath, I decided to copy that logic as it will allow me to move the trans up and down while trying to shoehorn this thing in. It will hang from the diagonal holes in the outside of the frame in front of the skid plate.

Looks like I’m going to be at 7 degrees but everything will fit, I still have to dimple the tub a bit and I’ll be using the GR mount.

I mocked up the skid clearance at 2” below the frame and my skid is actually 2-1/4” inside

I knew it would be tight when @Alex01did his and he has a 1-1/4” BL.

Got the Atlas installed for the final time, put the shift levers in and adjusted them. My mount was delivered this afternoon so I got it tacked, I’ll weld it up when I get back fro working out of town, things take longer when you’re old and only work on them every seven days 😊

Looking good!!!

There must be a glitch in the matrix because I'm seeing Déjà vu.

It looks like you're a final weld and some exhaust work from being up and running.

I love my GenRight extended range tank and am bummed I have to take it out. To keep at least 20 gallons of fuel in the Jeep I'm going to have to go with a fuel cell instead of a tank.

Why do you have to lose the tank?

Why do you have to lose the tank?

I have a TeraFlex CRD 60 axle plus I moved it back 5" also. So the tank you have isn't suppose to work and I don't want to drop down to only 15 gallons for their next tank. So instead I'll run their 20 gallon fuel cell.

Are you putting the 30 gallon in your daughters TJ?
