Dropped pitman arm but no problem?

I believe my Jeep has a dropped pitman arm. I have not had issues with deathwobble (steering is Currie)
But my Jeep always kinda wanders on the road a little. I don’t have a drop track bar bracket either but really my Jeep drives good. No bump steer or anything. Should I still swap it out?

Assuming the driver's side track bar mount is not dropped too, you have bump steer with that setup, you may just not be recognizing all of its symptoms. Yes replace that with the factory Pitman.

Wander on a smooth highway can be caused by a bad toe-in setting or insufficient caster angle.

Good to know thanks. I saw Chris recommended to get crown pitman arms but I can’t seem to find one. Is Omix-ada good? If you have any experience that is. Or is the $300 gen-right twisted pitman arm worth it. Thanks.

Omix-Ad is fine for a Pitman arm.

I have been running the Omix stock arm as the PO put in a dropped arm, was causing bad bump steer, I have no problems with the new one and install went perfectly fine

Honestly no it does not. I have construction right outside my house on the main road (speed limit of 55) and I drive over bump after bump for at least a mile. No jolts in steering.

As above, wander on a smooth highway is usually from either (or both) a bad toe-in angle or insufficient caster angle.

And for bump steer to occur the axle has to actually move up & down which may not be enough to cause noticeable bump steer in some forms of rough road conditions.

I also switched to the Omix-ADA 18006.05 pitman arm after I removed the dropped pitman arm. No fitment issues on mine. However, after replacing the dropped pitman arm, you may notice the new one doesn't sit as high up on the shaft. This is fairly normal ( happened to me as well).

The worst part was getting the DPA off of the steering box. I ended up using this puller from autozone after breaking one of the standard pullers.

I purchased a MOOG from Rock Auto. Beefie arm!

Moog is on.
Used a breaker bar and antisieze to push it on, and then torqued it. With more force, i could probably push it up by 1 more thread.

Bump steer is gone and steering feels less sloppy.

Almost got it done now. Just gotta go buy a new cotter pin now that I lost my set of stainless ones I had at the house
