It does not have to be vin programmed unless in an emissions state or have a grey security key.
Thank you! It’s a black key and I’m not in an emissions state. So all I do is install it and I’m good to go?
Hey sorry to jump in having issue with 2004 wrangler 2.4 m/t no a/c started getting misfire a few weeks back on my wife's jeep out of the blue. Did evry possible diagnostic test and scans on it possible. Turns out after doing some electrical tests that pin #15 on white plug out of pcm has no injector pulse from the injector driver so jumped wires at #1 then at #3 then at #4 injector it does then run but rough from any of the other injectors runs best run off #4 since 2 fires right after 4 but sent pcm to module experts in FL they sent back but was exact same called them complaining still doing same thing they said send back under warranty they would rebuild entire pcm under warranty then 2 weeks later they emailed saying pcm circuit board was bad Unrepairable and would give me $30 refund and send pcm back but has already cost $350 from me doing this now question is how or who can refresh another pcm to work on it and which one would I need hers was a 455AE ty!
