Electrical help with taillights

Hi guys,
I have an electrical problem, my brake lights along with my the running red light isn't working. However my hazard's and my turn signal's work perfectly fine. I checked the fuses every single one in the fuse box glove compartment of my jeep tj 2003. I also checked the hood fusebox all are good. My brakswitch works fine however I haven't removed it or anything. the third brake light was removed along time ago I know there issues to that. I don't know what to do remove my brake switch replace it and splice those two wire together I saw that online. or what do I do to get the RED RUNNING LIGHT WORK AND HAZARD

To clarify a couple issues. I installed front fender's learning process I cut the main engine dash wiring harness which connects to the hood fuse box. I rebutted all the wires got the engine starting , However I remember the running lights along with everything working fine. I tried to install some seat warmers and I played around with the fuses in which I shouldn't have putting fuses where they don't go but then I got all the correct fuses and I didn't install the seat warmers. Do you think its possibly that or I blew something out when trying to install the seat warmers. What could I have done to cause my brake/running lights not working REAR ONLY!!

I just read it could be the wire in the back rom where I actually cut my third brake light a while back do you think the action or play that somehow happened in the trunk causing the end of where the wires cut to cause this. What would I have to do to that third brake light wire thats cut an not in use it that was possibly the issue thank you any help I appreciate

Okay, I think this is going to be a tough one for anyone to help with only because you mention cutting the main engine dash harness? Why would you do that? Sounds to me like you need to un-do whatever you did and retrace your steps. Normally with taillight issues it ends up just being a bad ground (since the taillights ground to the body of the Jeep), but it sounds like you really need to retrace your steps. If they worked fine before you did whatever you were doing, then you need to retrace your steps as I stated earlier.
