PO put on these extended flares, maybe look a little goofy? They are Xenon flares and 6 inch I think. I can get some OE flares but I don't now how wide those are. Would they still cover my 31x10.5's? I don't want the tires sticking out but the narrower I can get the better. I don't want to eliminate them as the help with mud control is a big plus.

That looks horrible. My factory flares cover my 33x10.5 stock rim setup perfectly

What wheels do you have? If aftermarket, do you know the backspacing?

I think the OEM flares are in the range of 3.5 inches and the Rubicon and Sahara’s are 4.5 inches. (Could be 3.25 and 4.25 inches, I can‘t remember for sure).

I found a set of Ravines which are what were originally on it.

Why do you people forget the 65th? oh yes its just a badge lol 4 1/4 flares go get some!

Plus Rocky Mountain Edition.
Also includes other special edition models like the Columbia Edition and Freedom Edition. LJ's with the "Premium Appearance Group" option also came with the same width flares. Basically, if it came from the factory with painted flares, they're the same width as Sahara and Rubicon fender flares.

Is there an advantage to old take off OEM flares over ordering a new after market set?

I think ‘ they’re e horrible’ is a bit harsh. I wanted to build my Jeep with a stockiest look , eg how I think Jeep should have built it. So I have same except my wheels/ Tires fit under better. I think that’s your issue.
Ps. Sorry I didn’t have a full frontal with me

Thought I was getting standard stock flares but they are stock Rubicon flares. Did Ruby flares come factory with a finish on them?
