Just measured my tire fender gaps and they weren’t even. My front driver side measured at 5”, passenger side at 4.5”, both rears were 6”. So my question is can these measurements be used to determine if my springs are starting to sag and also if there is a rake to the front? None of this was noticeable to the naked eye just happened to measure. Or are there other intangibles involved? I don’t have a winch nor aftermarket bumpers.

Measure your springs.
My front springs measured equal and my rears were equal which made me believe my springs were fine. Until I measured the gaps. So are those gap measurements irrelevant? Reason I’m asking is because I’m going to mount a winch and wanted to see if it would cause any drooping.

Find a small child that weighs as much as your winch will and direct it to sit still on the front bumper. See what happens to the ride height. :)

BTW, factory springs measure about 12" front, 8" rear.
