Finally been ducked!

join https://www.smokingmeatforums.com/ before you decide, great forum and there are a few of us TJ forum members on there. I have an electric like yours, a Masterbuilt 800 gravity and a couple of weber kettles. Eggs are expensive for what they do (don't own one but my opinion). Gravity feeds probably give as close to stick burner profile as can be had....although opinions are all over the place. I know @Apparition has a high end Mak pellet grill and loves it.

Thanks! I'll definitely join that forum.

I'm actually doing it on a masterbuilt electric smoker right now, then finishing on an Inferno infrared broiler. I'm looking for a smoker upgrade, but unsure what to get. I was going to go pellet smoker, but my son has one and my electric smoker has better smoke flavor (I use oak for steaks). I'm looking at a Big Green Egg right now. Any suggestions?

Check out the Weber Summit Kamado if you're thinking about a BGE.

I have both an XL BGE and my MAK 2 star general. The MAK is pretty much 100% smoker duty now. The BGE is great for grilling, searing and pizza type stuff.

The MAK produces smoke every bit as good as the BGE but it’s much more specifically flavored to the flavor of pellets you use whereas the BGE is gonna somewhat taste like charcoal, which is ok if that’s what you prefer.

I loved my BGE and I’ve had it for a dozen years or so and have the fan controllers to make it work similar to a pellet but the pellet is easier and produces as good if not better product.

On the MAK I don’t need to play games like smoking at 190° for a couple hours, like I hear other pellets do. I pick my target usually either 225° or 245° and let it run until it’s done.

And, the MAK is 100% made in the USA as a bonus.

Thank you! Great information. If it's OK, I may message you at some point if I have questions.

While I have never "ducked" a Jeep, for some reason I seem to get one about twice a month lately, either at the grocery store or Home Depot, I look around to see if somebody is waiting for some kind of reaction from me, I do hold it high in the air and do a 360 in case they are looking, but have never been approached. I always wonder if it a guy or girl, just sayin! ;)

And just to clarify, the ducks I have been gifted ARE NOT on my dash board, they're not even in the Jeep, they're just sitting on the corner of my re-loading bench. I been waiting for them to ask about my 10mm pistol project I been working on, but they just sit there!
